November 2026 Live Music in Kingston: Three Shows Worth the Night Out |
From a rock legend's farewell tour to a puppet-driven folk ballad night, Kingston's stages deliver a strong November lineup |
Kingston's live music calendar stays busy well past October. This November brings a hometown hero's final tour to Broadway, an atmospheric evening of murder ballads in a Wurts Street hall, and an internationally touring folk ensemble to the Stockade district. Here are the three November 2026 shows to put on your calendar.
Orleans — Saturday, November 7, UPAC
The Ulster Performing Arts Center opens the month with Orleans, the pop-rock band behind "Still the One," "Dance with Me," and "Love Takes Time," bringing its Final Tour 2026-2027 to the stage at 601 Broadway on Saturday, November 7 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $72.50 all-in and are available through Ticketmaster or at the UPAC box office Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — box office purchases by cash or check skip the online service fees.
The Ballad Tree — Saturday, November 14, TEMPO
Where murder ballads become fairytales. The Ballad Tree takes over TEMPO Concert Hall, 29 Wurts Street, on Saturday, November 14, doors 7:30 p.m. and show at 8 p.m. Director and choreographer Djahari Clark, who heard these ballads sung as a child, built the production with longtime musical collaborator David Kamm, whose folk-rooted guitar and banjo anchor a live band with Hudson Valley musicians Allison Godleski and Lee Bones Godleski. Dancers Glenna Yu and Laura Victoria Ward join, with costumes by Kristin Costa. Tickets are $25 community, $35 standard, and $50 supporter, free for kids 12 and under, via Viewcy.
Rising Appalachia — Thursday, November 19, Assembly
Rising Appalachia — the folk ensemble blending Appalachian traditions, New Orleans soul, and harmony singing that has played Red Rocks, Telluride, and NPR's Tiny Desk — plays Assembly, 236 Wall Street, on Thursday, November 19, doors 7 p.m. and show 8 p.m., with Viv & Riley opening. Presented by Radio Woodstock, the show supports the band's new 16-song album, Trade My Troubles, due out in October 2026 with special guests Aoife O'Donovan, Ayla Nereo, Bonnie Paine, and Brittany Haas.
