CritterEx having same day service sounds nice on paper but I called them last fall about a raccoon situation and waited four days. Maybe it depends on how busy they are. Thomas Pest actually came out faster for me when I had a mouse problem a couple years back. Just sharing my experience, your mileage may vary.
We used Pestmaster last spring after finding what we thought was a small bed bug problem. Turns out the K-9 found activity in two other rooms we had no idea about. Caught it early and the treatment was done in one visit. Worth every penny. Glad to see them on this list.
Dave KowalskiThe K-9 thing really works, right? We had a similar experience where we thought it was just one spot and the dog found more. So glad we didn't just treat the one area and call it done. Did yours come back after the treatment or was that it?
Honestly these roundup articles always read a little too positive about every single option. Would be helpful to know if any of them have wait times or areas they do not actually service well in the more rural parts of Ulster County.
We had a raccoon situation last fall and called around to a few places. CritterEx was the only one who could come same day. Handled it humanely too which mattered to us. Good people.
A little surprised CritterEx only has 162 reviews compared to the others. Does that mean they are newer or just smaller? Genuinely curious if anyone has used them for bat removal specifically.
rivertown_rachThey're definitely smaller, been around the Lake Katrine area for a while though. I used them last fall for a bat situation in my attic and honestly they were great. Showed up fast, sealed everything up properly, and explained the whole process. Fewer reviews just means they're not a huge operation, not that they're bad.
The K-9 bed bug detection at Pestmaster is no joke. My neighbor had them come out and the dog found something in a room they never even used. Caught it early and saved a lot of hassle.
Used Thomas Pest Services last spring for a termite issue and they were great. Showed up on time, explained everything clearly, no upselling. 3,300 reviews for a reason.
