Nekos-Dedrick's Pharmacy: A Kingston Institution for Generations |
Kingston's oldest independent pharmacy continues to deliver personalized care with a smile |
Some businesses become so woven into the fabric of a community that they feel like family members. Nekos-Dedrick's Pharmacy, located at 86 N Front St in Kingston, is exactly that kind of place. This independent, family-owned compounding pharmacy has been serving the Kingston community for generations, offering personalized pharmaceutical care in a welcoming setting.
A Legacy of Care
Nekos-Dedrick's Pharmacy has served Kingston residents for decades, building relationships that span generations. It's not uncommon for third-generation families to fill their prescriptions here — grandparents, parents, and children all trusting the same pharmacy with their health needs.
The pharmacy combines old-school service with modern pharmaceutical practices. While the personal touch remains, so does a commitment to staying current with the latest medications, therapies, and healthcare technologies.
Personalized Service at Every Visit
Walk into Nekos-Dedrick's and you'll notice something rare in today's healthcare landscape: time. The pharmacists take time to explain medications, discuss potential side effects, and answer questions without the pressure of a corporate queue. They know their regulars by name and are familiar with their medication histories.
Customers appreciate the one-on-one attention. "They actually listen to you here," one reviewer noted. "You're not just a number — they care about getting you the right medication and making sure you understand it."
Comprehensive Pharmacy Services
Why It Matters
Independent pharmacies like Nekos-Dedrick's are increasingly rare, and their loss is felt deeply in the communities they serve. When you support a local pharmacy, you're supporting a business that knows your neighborhood, understands your healthcare needs, and will go the extra mile because your health matters to them personally.
For Kingston residents who value personalized healthcare and community connection, Nekos-Dedrick's Pharmacy remains a trusted choice on North Front Street.

I appreciate the local angle but I wish the compounding services got a little more explanation. That's actually a pretty specialized thing and a lot of people don't know what it means or when they'd need it. Could be the most important thing they offer for certain patients.
Greg T.You make a good point. Compounding is basically when they make a custom version of a medication, like if you need a different dose than what's commercially available, or if you need it in a form you can actually take, like a liquid instead of a pill. My son has sensory issues and can't swallow tablets so compounding has been a lifesaver for us. More people should know that option exists.
My mother has been going to Nekos-Dedrick's since before I was born and now I take my own kids there. The pharmacists actually remembered my son's allergy without me even bringing it up. You just don't get that at a chain. Hope they stick around for another few decades.
