Ulster County Launches New Grant Program for Kingston Small Businesses |
Small business owners in Kingston can apply for new grants of up to $10,000 through a county program aimed at boosting the local economy. |
Small business owners in Kingston have a new opportunity for funding.
Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger announced a 10,000 grant program this week specifically designed to help small businesses in Kingston and across the county grow and expand their operations.
The program offers grants of up to 10,000 to qualifying businesses, with priority given to companies in the retail, restaurant, and service sectors that have been impacted by economic challenges.
Who Can Apply
Businesses with fewer than 25 employees are eligible to apply.
The grants can be used for equipment purchases, building improvements, marketing campaigns, working capital, or other business needs.
Priority consideration will be given to businesses located in downtown areas, minority-owned businesses, and companies that demonstrate job creation potential.
Metzger says the program is part of the countys broader economic development strategy.
Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, Metzger said.
These grants will help them invest in their future and create jobs in our community.
Application Process
Applications are available online at the Ulster County Economic Development website.
Business owners will need to submit financial statements, a business plan, and a description of how the grant funds will be used.
The application deadline is May 15, with awards announced in June.
Businesses on Wall Street, Broadway, and throughout Kingston are encouraged to apply.
For assistance with the application process, business owners can contact the Ulster County Economic Development office in Kingston. |
