Kingston's fall music calendar is stacked. As October opens, three standout events land in the city — two intimate shows at Assembly Kingston and one sprawling downtown festival that takes over Uptown for a full weekend. Here's what's on tap.

Angelo De Augustine with Erin Rae

When: Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM)
Where: Assembly Kingston, 236 Wall Street, Kingston, NY 12401
Tickets: Available at assemblykingston.com

Singer-songwriter Angelo De Augustine brings his quietly arresting indie folk to Assembly, touring behind his latest record, Angel in Plainclothes. His hushed, intricate songs have drawn a devoted following and collaborations with the likes of Sufjan Stevens. Opening the night is Nashville's Erin Rae, whose warm, soul-tinged Americana has earned critical praise across multiple albums. A perfect pairing for a crisp autumn Wednesday downtown.

Karla Bonoff

When: Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM)
Where: Assembly Kingston, 236 Wall Street, Kingston, NY 12401
Tickets: Available at assemblykingston.com

Legendary singer-songwriter Karla Bonoff returns to the stage with the heartfelt, finely crafted songs that made her a cornerstone of the 1970s Laurel Canyon scene. Bonoff's compositions — including "Someone to Lay Down Beside Me" and "Personally" — have been covered by Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, and Wynonna Judd. Her solo performances strip the songs to their essence: voice, piano, guitar, and story. An intimate evening with a true songwriting original.

The O+ Festival

When: Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11, 2026
Where: Multiple venues throughout Uptown Kingston, NY
Tickets: By-donation wristbands at opositivefestival.org/kingston

The 16th annual O+ Festival fills Kingston for three days with over 100 musicians, visual artists, writers, comedians, and wellness practitioners. This year's music lineup is led by Memphis roots-rock veterans Lucero, joined by Matt Pond PA, MC Lars, The Mammals, Pete Bernhard of The Devil Makes Three, DJ Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells, and JO+ni Jam, a Joni Mitchell tribute — with more than 60 percent of performers hailing from the Hudson Valley. The free BlO+ck Party returns to Uptown Kingston on Saturday, October 10, with vendors, health resources, and live entertainment. Wristbands grant entry to every O+ event all weekend and help fund the festival's Artists' Clinic, which trades art for healthcare.

A Weekend Worth Planning For

These three events show why Kingston punches above its weight for live music — an intimate listening room, a legacy songwriter, and a festival with genuine heart. Tickets and wristbands are on sale now, and early October in Kingston fills fast.
